Joe Pelling joins forces with indie game publisher Devolver Digital on their annual new games showcase.
Written and directed by Joe, the film is a black mirror-ish blend of mockumentary archival footage with a live presentation event gone horribly wrong, interweaving the latest Devolver game trailers along the way.
the 20-minute film premiered as part of Summer Game Fest 2023 - the biggest event in the global gaming calendar - and sees the resurrection of ‘Volvy’, devolver’s beloved 90s game mascot. bespoke ‘Volvy' game sequences were created by a range of Devolver developers, including Nomada, No Brakes Games, Massive Monster Studios, and Dead Toast Entertainment.
