im glad i know that now thank you is a serious educational documentary short form series that is completely serious and completely educational.
We've teamed up with comic artist chris (simpsons artist) and director Mike Greaney to create a brand new home-grown animated series titled im glad i know that now thank you.
This trio of shorts - kissing, phones, and death - are voiced by the iconic British comedian, presenter, and painter Joe Lycett. This marks Chris’s first collaboration with Blink Industries. The project also marks Chris’s first foray into episodic animation, with Mike Greaney translating his instantly recognisable visual language into motion for the very first time. Together, they’ve created three fast-paced films that take a satirical spin on the ‘how-to’ genre, creating something that is in equal parts demented and profound.
True to Chris’s commitment to world-building, the series is populated with familiar faces from his online universe - like step-son Ian, whose head is constantly on fire, or Sarah, whose phone addiction is both crippling and painfully relatable.
Tonally, the shorts dance between absurd silliness and razor-sharp satire, pairing dark comedy with the surreal, emotionally exposed visuals Chris’ fans have come to love. And just when you least expect it, the series lands moments of genuine tenderness - particularly in death, which beautifully grapples with mortality and loss.
